Everything you need to know about shipping your wedding dress

We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service for all wedding dress deliveries. This ensures both buyers and sellers have visibility into the shipment's progress and protection against loss or damage.

Popular recommended carriers include:

  • USPS Priority Mail with tracking
  • UPS Ground or Express
  • FedEx Home Delivery
  • DHL for international shipments

Always choose a service that provides a tracking number and consider adding insurance for valuable items.

Shipping costs are typically the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise agreed upon between the buyer and seller.

  • Buyers and sellers can negotiate shipping costs through chat
  • For returns, the return shipping cost policy depends on the reason for the return

We recommend discussing and agreeing on shipping costs before finalizing the transaction.

To ensure your return reaches the correct address:

  1. Check the Order Details: The seller's return address is provided in your order confirmation and account order history.
  2. Contact the Seller: If you're unsure about the return address, message the seller through Wedding Closet Hub chat to confirm.
  3. Use Tracking: Always ship returns with tracking so both parties can monitor the delivery.
  4. Keep Proof: Save your shipping receipt and tracking number as proof of return shipment.

Never send returns to an address received outside of the Wedding Closet Hub platform.

Once you receive your order, you can mark it as delivered by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your Wedding Closet Hub account
  2. Go to My Orders in your account dashboard
  3. Find the order you received
  4. Click Mark as Delivered or Confirm Receipt

Confirming delivery helps the seller receive their payment and completes the transaction. Please inspect the item carefully before confirming receipt.

After shipping the item, mark your order as shipped to notify the buyer:

  1. Log in to your Wedding Closet Hub account
  2. Go to My Orders or Sales in your seller dashboard
  3. Find the order you need to update
  4. Click Mark as Shipped
  5. Enter the tracking number and carrier information
  6. Save the shipping details

Providing accurate tracking information helps buyers monitor their delivery and builds trust in your transactions.

Delivery times vary depending on several factors:

  • Domestic Shipping: Typically 3-7 business days within the same country
  • International Shipping: Usually 7-21 business days depending on the destination
  • Shipping Method: Express options are faster but more expensive
  • Customs Processing: International orders may experience delays at customs

Sellers are expected to ship items within the timeframe specified in their listing. You can track your delivery status using the tracking number provided by the seller.
